We’re proud to share here at Ignite, we’ve launched three – yes, three! – brand new strains of indica to our catalog. Add that up with our two new sativas and two new hybrids and you can tell we’re not resting on our laurels. Today, we’re introducing Chem Dawg 4, TriFi Cookies, and Purple Punch.
First a quick word about what an indica is. Indica is a strain of cannabis that is believed to be physically sedating, perfect for relaxing in front of the TV or as a nightcap before bed. The word itself was introduced in the 1700s and now is used to describe stout, broad-leaf plants. So basically, it’s the chilliest of the buds.
And we have three brand new strains of it! Here they are:
Chem Dawg 4
Those notes; earthy, pine, citrus. The aroma has a pungent, earthy scent – imagine fresh-tilled soil within a deep forest – and it’s all wrapped up in a kick of citrus that slightly stings the nostrils. This can only be Chem Dawg 4; it’s got a total THC of 25.1% and a range between 18-26%. And did we mention the THCa is 27.1%? The terpenes (or “terps”) found in Chem Dawg 4 are Caryophyllene, Pinene, Myrcene, and Limonene.
Chem Dawg 4 buds are dense, light green, and covered with a crystal frosting. And the effects? Well, expect a long lasting relaxed euphoria that leaves you content and uplifted. Chem Dawg 4 is best used on a relaxing day off from work or at night settled in front of the TV.
Now we’re talking! The dulcet earthy and sweet pine notes of TriFi Cookies let you know you’ve got something special in your hand. It comes with a total THC of 21.5% and a range of 20-28% - with a THCa of 24.25%. Sweet! But that’s not all. The terps we use are Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Myrcene – and if you’re wondering what the lineage is, wonder no more; it’s Larry OG crossed with Grandaddy Purple (GDP).
Yep. That lineage makes TriFi Cookies a cross breed of cannabis royalty. (It’s so dope, in fact, our friends over at Herb.co recently profiled the strain in their Crossbreeding explainer video - yes that was a shameless plug.) The TriFi Cookies combo of Triangle Kush, Fire OG, and Thin Mint Cookies leads to a tasty, sweet, sugary delicacy with an additional fuel funk that’ll bring a smile to your face. All this to say that after a toke, it will leave you deeply relaxed and happy that you opted for it.
How’s something fruity sound? The grape, berry, and sweet notes of the Purple Punch will have you relaxing in a happy style. The THC in this one is 21.3% with a range of 17-24% and a THCa of 24.14%. The terps used are Limonene, Caryophyllene, and Myrcene and it boasts a lineage of Larry OG crossed with Granddaddy Purple.
What you’re getting with Purple Punch is the deliciously sweet and sedating union of two indica-dominant classics. Larry OG and Grandaddy Purple have been cross-bred to produce the trichome-laden Purple Punch. It smells of grape candy and blueberry muffins, and is accompanied by a well-rounded, earthy finish.
There’s a real potency to this one too; it gives the user a one-two punch to both the head and body. User often describe it as first landing between the eyes and then settling down into the body and limbs. This means your body will be totally relaxed and ready for a good – and long – night’s rest. We recommend Purple Punch as a dessert strain so it’s best suited for after you’ve had dinner. It also has effects that may help with managing nausea, stress, minor body aches, and sleeplessness.
Which of these new indica strains will you try first? The good news is that you don’t even have to choose – get all three! You can find all of them at Ignite authorized dispensaries now.
